Vacant Mining Blocks and Public Auctions

Vacant Block Registry & Filters

The Mineral Cadastre Portal maintains an updated registry of vacant and auctionable mineral blocks across Punjab. Prospective bidders, leaseholders, and members of the public can filter and review demarcated blocks before participating in departmental auctions.

• District & Region Filters: Locate vacant mineral blocks within specific districts and administrative regions of Punjab.
• Mineral Classification: Filter blocks by mineral type (including minor minerals such as ordinary sand, gravel, limestone, and silica sand).
• Upcoming Auctions Filter: Narrow the table and map directly to blocks scheduled for upcoming public auctions.

Published Block Attributes

Each block record in the portal exposes standardized administrative and financial attributes maintained by the Directorate General of Mines & Minerals:

• Block Identification: Unique Block Code, Block Name, District, and Mineral Type.
• Financial Parameters: Official Reserve Price (PKR) and demarcated area in acres.
• Auction Schedule: Published Auction Date 1, Auction Date 2, and Auction Date 3, along with current Block Status (Vacant, Granted, or Cancelled).
• Map Synchronization: Selecting a block in the table highlights its exact boundary polygon on the interactive GIS map.

Surveyed Boundaries

Block boundaries are stored in the PAK-I coordinate reference system (SRID 24376) and projected onto the WebGIS portal so applicants can verify coordinates, acreage, and adjacent concessions prior to bidding.

Auction Participation

Scheduled auction blocks are published with reserve prices and three auction dates. Once a block is auctioned and allotted, its status, operative bid amount, and installment schedule are tracked in the portal.

Cadastral Overlay

Use the interactive GIS Map Portal to inspect vacant blocks alongside existing mining leases, pending applications, district boundaries, and notified forest or restricted areas.
