Integrated Cadastral & Administrative System

The Mineral Cadastre Portal is the official geospatial and mineral administration system of the Directorate General of Mines & Minerals, Government of the Punjab. It integrates PostGIS cadastral mapping with departmental workflows for licensing, auctions, and revenue management.

  • Interactive 2D/3D WebGIS Map: Displays applications, granted concessions, minor mineral auction blocks, district boundaries, geology, and notified forest/restricted areas.
  • Concession & Application Registry: Centralizes records for Large Scale Mining (LSM), Small Scale Mining (SSM), and Minor Minerals.
  • Spatial Analysis Tools: Supports coordinate plotting, polygon drawing, distance/area measurement, and automated overlap detection.

Portal Modules & User Roles

The platform provides role-based workspaces tailored to public visitors, mineral title holders, and departmental officers:

  • Public & Prospective Applicants: Browse vacant mining blocks, inspect the interactive cadastre map, register an account, and submit applications or credential requests.
  • Client Workspace: Enables registered leaseholders and contractors to view their applications, granted concessions, payment records, and bank guarantees.
  • Departmental Staff & Management: Provides access to application processing, GIS demarcation, installment and royalty tracking, challan verification, legacy leases, and consolidated revenue dashboards.

Surveyed polygons are maintained in PAK-I (SRID 24376) and WGS84 (SRID 4326) to ensure accurate boundary demarcation, acreage computation, and conflict-free allotment across Punjab.
